Thor, dog of thunder
This is our dog, Thor (aptly named). He’ll be 3 years old in October but he still acts like a puppy!

Needless to say, nothing is safe in the back yard, he chews EVERYTHING.
Thor is taken care of by Johnny and Emily in Grand Junction, CO.

Silly Zilly

Here are the pictures of our new Great Dane puppy, Zilly. She is now 10 weeks old and 23 pounds. She has a daily schedule of eat, sleep, play, sleep, play, playing while sleeping. She finishes the day off by playing from 8:30 p.m. until 8:35 p.m. and then she is ready for bed. She enjoys her big brother Eli, the cocker spaniel, and her two kittens. We are happy to welcome the big bundle of joy to our lives out on Orchard Mesa.

Stuck on him

This is a picture and new invention my son Chris likes to call Post It Note Miles. He is a Mini Rat Terrier, or Brat Terrorist as I call him, but he is a great sport and the best dog.

Daisy with a mohawk

My name is Erica Doggett and I have a 2-year-old golden retriever named Daisy. We live in Yukon, Okla. She is in training to be a therapy dog and has completed many different levels of obedience. She was born with a mohawk that never went away! She is the sweetest and smartest dog that I’ve ever met and I couldn’t love her more!

Rugby and Polo
Rugby and Polo became our “babies” as we found ourselves empty nesters. We live in Rowlett, Texas.
They are sisters, although they are completely different. Rugby is 10 pounds and Polo only 5 pounds. Polo is the quiet one and Rugby is the loud, attention seeker!

Rugby the Pirate and Polo was an Indian for Halloween 2007. Good thing they are really good “sports” (pun intended).

Carmel and the cattle

Attached are pictures of Carmel at Uncle Steve’s & Aunt Tammy’s ranch in Bostwick Park. She really thinks she should be a ranch dog and herd the cattle around. On the other hand, looks like beef is for dinner.

Jethro and J Lo

Jethro falls asleep in a very safe place — our son Garth (who was an offensive tackle in football for both his high school and college teams) is apparently unaware of the tiny bit of added weight.

J Lo (a.k.a. jellybean) sits on top of the stairs, demonstrating “oneness with the universe.”

Shotzi, the sweetheart Maltese

We adopted Shotzi a little over 2 years ago from Mesa County Animal Services when she was 7 years old. Initially, she was very shy and seemed fearful of other dogs, people, any new surrounding. Since then, Shotzi has completed beginner, intermediate, and advanced dog obedience classes. She recently received her AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification and passed her Therapy Dog exam. Among her many tricks include balancing a treat on her nose for up to three minutes, the shell game (touches the cup ,choice of three, that the treat is hidden under),maintain stand on hind legs position for at least 30 seconds. Not bad for an almost, now 10-year-old dog.
