Illegal immigrants arrested at military parachute factory
Fifty-seven illegal immigrants were arrested Tuesday at a worksite in Asheville, N.C., that manufactures parachutes for the U.S. military, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said.
The arrests were based on an investigation that revealed that the illegal immigrants had used fraudulent Social Security numbers to obtain employment, ICE said in a press release.
The company “has been fully cooperative” and is not a target of the investigation, ICE said.
The illegal immigrants were from Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador and Honduras.
“Protecting the integrity of our nation’s critical infrastructure is among ICE’s highest priorities,” said Delburt Richburg, assistant special agent-in-charge of the ICE Office of Investigations in Charlotte. “When individuals use fraudulent social security numbers to get jobs, they hide their true identity and history. We need to know who is working on our critical infrastructure sites.”
The press release also said: “Illegal aliens employed at sensitive facilities — such as military bases, nuclear plants, chemical plants, airports and Department of Defense contractors — pose a homeland security threat.”

We are threatened by more than illegals working in security areas - the fabric of our culture and future of our sovereignty is under attack by this criminal invasion. Determining who is legal and who is illegal is not rocket science. It can be done in literally minutes with E-verify and anyone employing workers who does not verify their status is a criminal and should be prosecuted.

This is crazy, Does anyone ever wonder why we have so many recalls of our food? I bet every time we have a recall there are illegals working where it came from. These people are cooking our food and serving it to us. There are alot of diseases walking across our borders and no one seems to care until people start getting sick. A good example is the peppers that came from mexico, they were irrigating with sewer! That is who is handleing our food America! Wake up and demand these people leave before its to late!

I guess making parachutes is just another job Americans don’t want to do. Good job ICE! Get these ILLEGAL ALIENS out of this Country, and slap a heavy fine on the employer! If a company that works directly with the US military can’t make sure who works for them, how poorly must they pay for so many illegals to work and get caught?
And for the record, the recalled peppers did NOT come from Mexico, they came from the US. And immigrants pay for their own kids education when they pay the rent or mortgage (property tax()

The problems all stems back to corrupt politicians, until Ameircans address that issue we will be stuck with whatever they give us, it use to be an honor to lead set an example for others but the almighty dollar corrupts. I’m sorry if I ruffled a couple of feathers by my comments but I get so annoyed that many people get very emotional about certain issues but fail to do anything about it but talk. By the way am very aware of the tragic situation facing my fellow human beings in the 3rd world enclaves south of the border.
Did you hear that 30 people were gunned downed over the weekend in drug related violence in the northern Mexican province where Ciudad Juarez is located. This inlcuded 21 innocent people who were celebrating a festival in their town square. Among the victims was a 4 year old boy. Maybe Lou Dobbs or Glen Beck will get on this story sometime this week.
I do not fault people people who chose to escape a corrupt government and law enforcement community that is in league with the very violent criminal organizations that they are tasked with eradicating.
I’m sick and tired of kidnappings and murders of innocent men, women, and children or honest and fearless public officials who chose to fight this horror.
I don’t care if they are Mexican drug cartels or the FARC but they need to be prevented from destroying GOD’s sacred creation of human life.
